Lee`s Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Q in Haslet

Great small town style barbecue. Pretty much the same as it's been for at least the 8 years I've been coming. Don't let the looks fool you. Great meat, and heavenly fresh-made Texas toast.

This is were you are able to get some of the best Bar-BQ on the planet, bar none

Good sides, good meat. If you are in a rush do not go there. Everything is nice and steady. Everybody gets the same level of attention and customer service. One man show but he's good at what he does.

Is very good food

If you are trying to diet don't do it. Lol!!!! . This food is soooooo good I always finish my plate lol. He takes pride in preparing every plate. It's pretty awesome.

Second time I've been to this place during business hours and it's NOT OPEN. Change the hours of business to "open whenever I feel like it" and at least people will know they will be wasting their gas and their time at their own risk. There won't be a 3rd attempt from me.

Full House plate dinner did not disappoint, it's everything and then some...

To be clear, they are closed every third Saturday. Poor me didn't know before driving there.

I don't know if this address is permanently closed, but it was closed 08/11/20 at 5:30 pm, just a pad lock on the door.

Lee's barbecue is always good. My husband loves the coleslaw.

Nice for the price...got the full house which had Beef(brisket), ribs, hot link and smoked sausage. Would have preferred a piece of chicken to replace one of the sausages.

Food is great

I used to work in the area and became a regular for a while. The food was always really good. Lee's not the most talkative person you'll find but that's OK he pours everything he has into his smoking. The brisket is one of the best in Texas and he will make you some fresh fries to go with it if you like. Not to mention the cobbler is also really excellent. I miss the place, just a little hole in the wall, but you can't beat it. Considering in Texas there are more BBQ joints than you can shake a stick at, Lee's stands out in a crowd. Cheer's to y'all. The food and service were beyond our expectations. We really loved the ambience of this restaurant. Fantastic restaurant to take the family out for lunch.

Good little BBQ joint. I had the brisket and sausage plate. Everything tasted great and the price was fair. The dining area is small but comfortable.

When I went to Texas for business I told myself I would get some Texas BBQ. This place showed up as a potential place to go as a hole in the wall. I read a few reviews on this place and most of the local guides were unhappy, but overall most other people found it great. I went myself and was really happy that I did. I am not BBQ expert, but I has more that satisfied with the taste, I loved it. I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of BBQ.

My husband and I stopped by after a recommendation; we were NOT disappointed! We had the Full House platter, and enjoyed some peach cobbler for dessert. It was incredible!Be sure to stop by and enjoy the fare if you ever get the opportunity. We will be back!

Just a hole-in-the-wall BBQ place but man is it delicious. People in Texas know BBQ, and that's why people in Texas come here. This place is fantastic. Hats off to you Mr. Lee.

This is a family favorite. ALL the meats are top notch. And Lee has the best potato salad anywhere. All sides are great. Desserts are all excellent, too. You always get great service and some of the best bbq there is. You can’t go wrong supporting this local business.

Simply the best. Drove hours out of our way to eat here on our last road trip through the area. The hot links and Ranch beans are amazing. The owner is extremely kind as well. Gave us ice for our cooler!

Best BBQ I have ever had the pleasure of eating in the state of Texas. Happened to come across it on a return trip from Denton for foot therapy... And I am so glad I did! Mr.Lee is just as amazing as his food. My last visit he remembered me as having said at one time that I wished he had pulled pork, and lo and behold he had added it to the menu... Carolina Style with the homemade vinegar type sauce... I felt like I was (Pun intended) in Hog Heaven!!!!

Good sauce and slaw. The baked beans are a little thick. The ribs were just ok, a little on the dry side, and have a definite hickory flavor. Overpriced for what you get- $17 for two ribs 1/4lb sausage and the two sides.

I ended up stopping here by mistake. As Bob Ross said turn mistakes into happy mistakes. This place is a hole in the wall. The atmosphere was quite, relaxing, and not busy.The owner you can tell knew what hes doing. The food quality was excellent, I feel the seasoning was just perfect. The ribs were almost fall off the bone. The potato salad was differnt from what im use to, but great. This is a place you can't judge by looking at the building. Highly recommended stopping in.

Best BBQ ever had. Always consistent. Meat is fantastic, bbq sauce is fantastic, together = magic. Then top it off with homemade awesome sides....you will be hard pressed to find better anywhere .

Small but great little BBQ joint in Haslet. Very mom n pop feel. Great customer service and you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. They have daily specials which I usually get. Great prices, especially for the quality. You can see all the BBQ awards that were won on the walls. Great place.

Good BBQ. It’s usually not crowded, but you can call in an order to-go as well. The history of the restaurant itself, coupled with it’s history as Haslet’s longest-running business, give it that local charm and character.

Cole slaw and potato salad were very good. Although the chicken was a little dry, it had a good flavor and the owner was kind enough to split one piece of chicken between two of us when we said that it was too big for either of us to eat. It's nothing fancy; very much a traditional Texas barbecue "hole in the wall".

Decided to drive there since the reviews online seemed good. Got there a few minutes after noon on a Friday and was told by an employee that they were closed. His explanation was that they normally opened at noon but "they didn't get there today". So apparently the opening times listed are a suggestion depending on whether the workers decide to open on time that day. Can't comment on the food since I never got any.

Mr Lee is a gentleman AND a pitmaster. Don't miss a chance to eat here.

Great barbeque. Only unsweet tea, but it's hot and fresh and so easy to add your sugar.
